The pumpkin Onesie!

I found that green onesie in a second hand shop, the orange fluff fabric too.
Cut it to a pumpkin shape, handsew it, add a green rebon! voilà!
It's kind of huge but I like it, my daughter loves the softness :)

très girly cushions

My mom gave me a sewing machine -and even shown me how it works!- It was belonging to her mom. It's a really gorgeous looking portalbe Singer (n.b.: portalbe does not mean weighless!)

So, I made some cushions for my daughter's room. All by myself! *giggles*
It's the very first time I tried my hand at sewing with a machine. And I'm hooked!

Look at the lovely results:

I got all this fabrics (and TONS more) for 5$ in a thrift store. The purple polka dots and the pink plaid were totally what I was looking for!

Action shot; I also did that "quilt" ahah! Nice enough for the babies :)

They are pretty much everywhere at the end of the day. Bébé loves to toss them around, sit on them, make a pile, undo the pile, pile them in her baby crib, etc....

The little witch

Unpacking some boxes (the candles onese) I felt on last year's witch costume I made for Bébé Tattoo. The Pointed Hat is actually from a dog costume, and I added the pretty yellow ruban. It is now too small to old on her head. I'll need to find/make another one :)

Cauldron Pincousin

In the Halloween spirit.
(and because I like to use Halloween stuff all year long )

Here's my new favorite pincousin

The cauldron came from the dollar store (5 for 1$) and I originaly bought them for my lovely Severus and Luna plush. I just made a ball out of lilac fabric, paint some silver glitter, stuff it in my cauldron, and used the matching pins from my multicolored pack. I love it!

What I did last week

Here's what I did last week that kept me away to that huge to-do list I posted: I took part on a Harry Potter craft swap;

So now I can't hide it from you anymore... I'm a HP fanatic. It's obsesive. And with Halloween coming, who wouldn't want to bring the not so sleeping Witch out ?

I think the only thing I bought for the whole thing are the d rings on the bag.
I'm acutally really pround of it. It's my first big project with a sewing machine!
I was able to change the thread and everything, this time! lol.
I SO didn't know how it worked but my mom showed me the basic and Off I go!

I drawn a sketch of what I wanted it to look like, draw the cuts I'd need and went on.
I was surprised how fast I was able to make it! The inside is doubled with pink and purple felt.
I wanted to double it with a more magical fabric (desesperatly looking for unicorns!) but none anywhere. Exepts overpriced fabric on eBay....
Must add: The black fabric are from maternity pants I never worn. (someone gave me a size 16! -I'm a size 5)

I painted to Hogwarts crest on a white fabric and handstiched it.

I've also done a butterbeer necklace.
(to keep away nargols)

A Timeturner.
(out of keyrings)

A "portable" pensive pincousin.
(for an old votive holder)

A Luna plush.
(complete with spectacles and Quibbler)

A Severus plush.
(complete with potions kit/charms)

Monster books of Monsters earrings
(only 1 teady bear was destroyed during the making process)

Slytherin House Crest socks for her daugther.
(mine thought they taste really good...)

A handmade Ravenclaw bow.
(out of those long ruban keychains)

Dumbledore quote t-shirt for her daugther.
(It does not do to dwell on dreams, and forget to live)

there is also a life size snitch (like the ones I sell in my etsy), a "expecto patronum" onesie and dark mark slytherin colors armwarmers. Every items as their personal tags (with their gallion prices) exept for clothing (I'm sending back what she had land me, cause it shrinked on itself the first time I tried to put them on! Don't you hate when people put anti-stealing spells on thing and forget about them!?) And not tags on the bag cause I made it (without no magic!) in muggle class... There is also a calligraphy quill-written letter :)

I want to appologize to all muggles not liking Harry Potter.

But I really do!!!

Have a magical day!

and don't forget to look out that party:

Halloween Esty Founds

I won't do another pumpkin post
But I'll provide you with charming Halloween stuff.

It's the only reason I can get to enjoy automn, really.
Usually at Halloween here, there is already snow.

Now wonder why I'd like to make something like this for my daughter:

(I would need to add gloves!)

Or like this:

Now the great Halloweeny stuff.
I must confess to you. I am a witch. (Well, in my heart at least!)
I love everything cauldron and potion, skulls, spiders, ghosts, you name it!
I have a collection of Witch's Hat. (My latest addition was the purple felting with yellow bow MINI one. It fitted Bébé Tattoo last year but it definitly won't this year!)

To-Do list.

Creativity is usefull in every domain of your life.
Moms know what I'm talking about.

Our big girl decided yesterday that the high chair was not for her anymore.
Eating fruit with her hands is still okay, cause the grown ups do too.
But she know refuse to be feed with a spoon or a fork. She can do it!
(almost) She's actually really good.
At what age do they usualy start feeding themselves with forks?
My ladie is only 14months old.... She's growing so fast!

Now, on to the list:

1- Shall I repost it, My Island!

2- I bet this one will make an amazing before/after: Dinning Table:

not pictured: 3 other chairs and a ralonge.

Really used set my in-law gave us.
I'm not 100% sure what we are doing with the fabric (stripes? floral? plain?) but it will be classic. We want to stain it darker. (don't even talk about painting wood to Papa Tattoo!)

3-Bébé Tattoo's changing table/dresser:

This was Papa Tattoo's dresser as a child. It dates from the 40's and we can clearly see the previous coat of red.
I'm keeping it white but I'll distress it even more. 4 flower knobs (matching with this dresser) are already added. Unfortunatly, the matching yellow handle Ì have are too wide, so I need to look for some.

4- We need to instal that chandelier in Bébé Tattoo's room.

5- And hang that mirror:

6- I want to find a way to incorporate my daughter's name above her double door closet. I can't paint it and I don't want vinyl. I might do a plaque or frame for each name (4) in different size and colors...

7-This one her is actually done! I sprayed it white, again, and it looks better.
I did not took a pic of it before covering it with plants...

..but you can imagine it stainless =)

8- When I get the time and money(!), I'd like to paint the few kitchen counter space I have, that is now white with LOTS of stains !
Product Image

9- Now I'm skipping all those steps and I'm gonna listen to an episode of Design Star I've just loaded (I don't have the hgtv usa.... And I don't want to wait!)

Hope this entertained you a little, while you where doing anything else other then what's on YOUR to-do list!

must add a number 10: Make something to enter this:

Go check it out!

Have a nice week!

Oh, My! We're [almost] finished!

There're those 3 bacs that needs to be unpacked and the tv/furniture that needs to be placed. Else we are finished!! yay!
oh, I forgot aaaaaaaaaalllllllllll the curtains to be hanged but, this can wait a bit.

And, I got the net back! So many interesting stuff to read while I was away!

Now I must tell you:
My daughter's room is 90% finished! I feel so relieved. We need to instal the chandelier, and 2 or 3 details and I'm done.

Here's a sneak peek:

She loved it!

I'm so glad I did not do all this for nothing! haha
Now she sits there and reads when she feels like to. She loves to read....
This piece was an assembly-required white thing I paid 20$. The sitting was already purple (yay!) and it was 50% off.
She beggins to understand that it's her own place (which she didn't have before) and she loves to sneak in her baskets full of toys and books. I did the other pillows myself (with my mom, that thought me how to as I never did that!) But I did a quilt pillows. It would deserves a special spot in the reveal! lol.
