A couple dolls I made. One of them is for sale!

This one I made for a little girl we often go play with.

And this one is a try. I wanted to make a very chubby little doll. Here it is!

She's very detailed; nose, freckles, bellybutton, hairs that can be brushed and...

...a little butt!

I need to complete her outfit.. She still needs shoes, undies and some kind of sweater. Any one of my follower wants it before I put it on etsy?

Wishing you all a lovely week!

Let me present you Liliann

Liliann

Liliann is a 16" Brown hair with green/blue eyes with hand made cloth from up cycled jeans, shirt and baby blanket. And I've hand crocheted a purple sweater.

Liliann

Also given with a hat that was found in thrift store, and knitted mohair socks. Those were an actual gift from our little neighbour's mama and now we're giving them back.

Liliann

Her hair can be brushed gently and styled in any ways! It's a mohair blend and it's really soft!
She made out of organic cotton and filled with wool.
She's created in a way that she can sit, and her legs are a little extra long, perfect for sitting yoga poses!

Liliann

She needed undies too, as her owner is diaper-free :)

On our way to delivery
Going to deliver Liliann.

My daugther is pretty exited to share some doll lovin'. I thought she'd make a fuss when going home because the doll was not come back with us, but she did nothing. She remembered it when we enter the apart and I just said that it was Elijah's now, and everything was okay!

More little dolls to come :)

When Fate takes you somewhere else

I've let days slip since my last post... I'm sorry if anyone miss my frequent posts, and I actually would have stuff to blog about but at the end of the night, I find myself drained and tired and all I want to do is ignore chores, sit in a corner and crochet something until my eyes close by themselves.

After 2 years of hard work and sacrifice to get the grade to get to med school, having them, passing all their little tests and wait for so long... Papa's been refused.

I ask my mom everyday to quit smocking...

So, all the stress of looking for another place to live is all gone. We're now deciding our next move, which is pretty much up to Papa.

See, we finally have some flowers around!

The plan goes like this; We'll move back to that house we were before, and he'll take the year off studying to apply next year (his grade will still count then, and he'll try making a better impression at the interview). He wants to spent time with us, which is very look forward to, and get into a better shape (which I wouldn't dislike either!).

I was preparing myself to the unknown; new city, new house, new people... But Fate takes us back to what we already knew. The major good points I see in all this is that we'll have our family close, beautiful back and front yard and lots of room..

There's a lot of things I love about this house... But I dislike the house itself, unfortunatly. We'll have to work around that.

There's also the possibility that Papa choose to enter a completely different program, and won't have any other chance of entering med school. I'm opting for the break, which we all need, a lot.

My mom's appartment.

So maybe this week I'll show you all the cute little dolls and the mother's day gift I made. I also have some dresses cut out, ready to be put together for Mariann. I'm also planning her birthday gift... You're never too early when you handmake your gifts!

I do have a good news to tell you; Mariann is diaper-free the day!

Now, cheer me up, because the glass of wine wasn't good enough at it...

A request for a Pixie Suit

I had a request for another Pixie suit Smiley you can find really tiny ones here and here.

This time I made a reversible hat, one side brown, the other side with leaves and buttons.

It was made for a smaller baby, so it's tight on Merrick, but he's cute non-the-less.

and he hates hoodies, no matter how cute he is with it!

It's made in a sweater I found in a thrift store. There's a little left... Enough to make one pointy hat for a doll, like the pilot cap attempt that was way too small!

It will be of down under. Somehow I'm really thrilled when something I make goes so far! Hope it keeps the little boy warm in their upcoming winter.

Beltane, danced

IMG_7197

This morning, much to our delight, the sun was shining and my babies felt great! I quickly set up the pole and put on some music, and asked Mariann if she wanted to put on a pretty dress so we could dance!

We took out the flower headdresses as well. Sorry no picture of me wearing mine! ahah...

Right now it's raining, I know first hand since me and Merrick went for a late walk, going to a projection of Le Premier Cri, a beautiful movie relating around 12 births happening on a Lunar eclipse day, all around the world.

I like to walk in the rain when the air is warm enough to smell. Smell of wet asphalt and land brings me all the way back to my first spring memories, thank you brain!

finally changed the snowy painting for something more cheerful...

Mariann wanted Merrick to try dancing around with us... He managed to have the pole on his forehand (it's really light, don't worry!) Light enough in fact, that Mariann carries it around in the house so she can dances wherever she wants i.e where I am.

Lots of love... but lots of frustration as well. I find it hard to cut myself in halves as they are both very needy! I can't wait for Mariann to grow up, just a little, and get out of that phase.

Beltane postponed

Yesterday was a very sweet day. We spent the day outdoor at my mom's and we all got ourselves pretty tanned noses. We were even able to spot daffodil sprout in the garden, as well tulips! Merrick is so, so much calmer and joyful outdoor! I have no pretty pictures to show you, hélas, but it was great to be outdoor with my mommy, reading and watching my 14yr old cousin play soccer with Mariann.

Beltane 2010

I'd like to refer you to a post from last year; How to make a mini may pole by my dear internet friend Wulf. I can't wait to have a yard to use this beautiful gift!
I didn't assembled it yet, as Mariann was pretty feverish last night and all day... She's been grumpy for a month now, and it looks like her little body finally got rid of the bugger. But I'll set it tonight and we'll dance tomorrow. It will be fun to watch as Merrick started clapping his hands as soon as there's some music, or someone sings!

Today is election day in Canada. We went voting at souper time with our babies, and the results are currently (22:46) coming out. As always, it saddens me to see how easily manipulable people are. But I didn't create this blog to talk about politic, even less of the tricky matter of having a government that has values totally different then people here. Laughing at our culture (if you feel a little bit of pain coming from me, you're right), among other things I totally disapprove. Sorry I had to share... I have a little bit of an heartache as I see a the tories so strong, it kind of hurt and I can't say I'm not worrying.... oh well, it's getting late, and I'd better flew into a good book for the rest of the night.
