Oh, I'm sorry I have nothing new. Not even a midwife appointment to relate, because the secretary forgot to tell me the right place. So I starved for nothing -I needed to take a blood test. Anyway, the nausea are almost gone. I'm still eating every half of hour though. I'm currently starving for cookies.

The only good news I can provide you is that Make your Monday is back at The Twice Remembered Cottage. And no, I don't have much to enter.

Maybe, soon, I'll get to say that the play kitchen is totally finished, now I need a really sturdier glue for the burners. And get that stupid oven door cut!

And the kitchen table? Forget about it. Absolutely no time to do it alone and no energy whatsoever!

But; maybe, and I'm quite hopeful, the green dresser will get to me before Papa get back to school. I'm waiting for you.

W.I.P. The Play kitchen!

I'm not finished yet. I need to take about 3mm off of the oven door in order for it to close. >___>
But everything else is pretty much done, So I felt like showing you!

I need to paint the inside of the fridge's door.
I'm kind of happy with how full the fridge is :)

Yes, this is a dog bowl. The faucet is a real one taken on ebay for realllllly cheap! All the little ustensils were bought at the dollar store.

Burners are old CD which I've drawn a swirl with sharpies on. Buttons were old washer buttons found were I found the TV cabinet (the guy gave them to me...)

I painted this backyard scene and made the (tiny) drapes

something to make an oven element
long enough screws to screw the burners' buttons.
Something nice to put next to the window; art, spice rack....

Yesterday's batch + a coffee cozzy

Yesterday was all about breakfast! I made a sliced bread and some eggs, to go with the bacon.

At least I could diggest those egg!

I made this for Papa Tattoo:

Saw some on etsy here. Told myself I could easily do it!

Then today I felt on Edie's post from her 12 days of xmas series. It was enough to take a break from the food (I'm still trying to make decent egg! try #4).

Mine is actually way simpler then hers; All I did was cut the right size according to the cardboard cup I had on hands (a small btw). I blanket stitched the side with brown threat and I embroidered this image found out of google. It really pleased my geeky lover!

As for the Velcro, it has sticky back, so no need to sew!

As you can see, I'm still trying to figure out! Ahah!
So I turned it into a garlic :)

For those asking yourself where I find all the time to do all this: It's actually quite quick and easy. Except for the bacon and half the Milk pint, everything is stitch by hand, but they are all little pieces.

About Play Kitchens......

It's what I decided to make for Bébé Tattoo for this year's holiday.
With the play food and everything (that will deserve a post of its own...)

So, officially, this is an Inspiration Post!

I have to mention first, this play kitchen gold mine, Out of the Crayon Box, and her fabulous idea that I'm looking forward to, Build With Me: Cute & Thrifty Play Kitchen -In Just Six Weeks.
I seriously consider the fact that she might have been able to read my mind.

Now, thanks to Kimba's DIY Day, I ran into this lovely play kitchen from Mommy Words.

I more then agree with the post's tittle; Who Needs Pottery Barn?

Why it won my heart?
First, it's RED. Second, it was built from scratch. Third, it cost 150$. and last but very not least, it has running water. How cool is that?

The pottery barn one, around 800$ without shipping fee.

This one comes from Our Sweet life.

She went to the salvage yard and got what she found fitting best. Found a faucet, re-used paint.... Total cost? 59$! Here for all the details.


But here comes one of my favorite, for it's cleverness. Erin, from Sutton Grace took an entertainment center and turn it into this:

I purchased the unit this afternoon (40$) and I got free stove buttons :) Unit and Sketch will be at the end of the post.
