Beltane postponed

Yesterday was a very sweet day. We spent the day outdoor at my mom's and we all got ourselves pretty tanned noses. We were even able to spot daffodil sprout in the garden, as well tulips! Merrick is so, so much calmer and joyful outdoor! I have no pretty pictures to show you, hélas, but it was great to be outdoor with my mommy, reading and watching my 14yr old cousin play soccer with Mariann.

Beltane 2010

I'd like to refer you to a post from last year; How to make a mini may pole by my dear internet friend Wulf. I can't wait to have a yard to use this beautiful gift!
I didn't assembled it yet, as Mariann was pretty feverish last night and all day... She's been grumpy for a month now, and it looks like her little body finally got rid of the bugger. But I'll set it tonight and we'll dance tomorrow. It will be fun to watch as Merrick started clapping his hands as soon as there's some music, or someone sings!

Today is election day in Canada. We went voting at souper time with our babies, and the results are currently (22:46) coming out. As always, it saddens me to see how easily manipulable people are. But I didn't create this blog to talk about politic, even less of the tricky matter of having a government that has values totally different then people here. Laughing at our culture (if you feel a little bit of pain coming from me, you're right), among other things I totally disapprove. Sorry I had to share... I have a little bit of an heartache as I see a the tories so strong, it kind of hurt and I can't say I'm not worrying.... oh well, it's getting late, and I'd better flew into a good book for the rest of the night.

  1. Thank you for the maypole link and the link to your friend's blog, I am now following her. Blessed Beltane, it sounds like you are off to a good start with your celebrations!

  2. I'm glad Mariann is feeling better and that you'll be able to set up and dance around Wulf's fabulous maypole soon!

While in a different country, I share your frustrations with our own government. I don't like talking politics on my blog either as it can get very ugly and out of hand, but sometimes it's good to vent even just a little. *hugs*

  3. I share your frustration and worry about the election results, but sometimes (often?) people just act irrationally.

Hope M&M got to dance the Maypole today, and glad that Mariann is feeling better. It must be so frustrating to be sick when you're so little, because you feel miserable but don't know why.
